#8 Take Action to Avoid Regret with Jake Rosenthal

In this episode, Jake Rosenthal talks us through the process of growing his career, but also building his real estate portfolio as well. Jake and Phil discuss the importance of putting full effort into your job to maximize what you learn, as you never know how you may be able to apply it in the future. We specifically get into short term rentals and why self-managing them can be so important to help with increasing revenue, reducing expenses and potential tax benefits as well (talk to your CPA). Jake explains what Lifestyle Design is and how he applied it to his life, including freedom of time, money and location, which allows him to live in warm weather climates like San Diego. He says how some books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad as well as Think and Grow Rich have changed his mind set in many ways beyond just finance.

Jake’s keys for success throughout the episode was taking action, and near the end discussing the importance of defining purpose, ask for it, take cation, and surround yourself with the right people.
